Research on Hydrogenation Treatment of Plant-based Biomass

Abstract: Biofuels have emerged as a potential substitute for fossil fuels, with production occurring through a range of methods, including physico-chemical processes and other techniques involving biomass. Plant-based biomass has significant potential for biofuel production and holds considerable promise for future applications in the petrochemical industry. Plant-based biomass is composed primarily of two types: lignocellulosic and microalgal. During processing, pyrolysis enhances the efficiency of upgrading; however, the resulting bio-oil contains numerous oxygenated compounds, the presence of which impairs the bio-oil's performance, rendering it unsuitable for direct use as a fuel. Accordingly, the selective utilisation of catalysts for hydrotreating is imperative, as this reduces the oxygen content and enhances the quality of the bio-oil. Read More

Research on the Development of Leisure Fisheries in Shipu Town, China, from the Perspective of Fishing Culture

Abstract: Fishing culture represents a comprehensive survival mode of communities represented by fishermen, developed over human history. It emerged from the survival needs of fishing communities and evolved through the historical processes of fishery farming and animal husbandry. Fishing culture possesses characteristics of universality, dynamism, and integrity, enriched by strong local ethnic features. This paper uses Shipu Town in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province—a region with typical fishing culture characteristics in China's coastal areas—as its primary case study. Field investigations reveal that while the fishing culture industry in Shipu Town faces challenges such as the decline of cultural landscapes, weak inheritance, and intense industry competition, leveraging the region's economic, social, and cultural attributes through effective cultural tourism planning, emphasizing cultural continuity, and driving industry transformation can enable the inheritance, preservation, and promotion of Shipu's fishing customs and culture. Research on a New Nitrogen Foam Fracturing Fluid System and its Application in Tight Gas

Abstract: Sichuan XX block belongs to the "low porosity, low permeability, low pressure" gas reservoir, and the effect of conventional fracturing is ignored, and the nitrogen foam fracturing process is recommended after analysis. After the optimization and evaluation of laboratory experiments, a nitrogen foam fracturing fluid system suitable for Sichuan block was formed, and the results showed that the system had the characteristics of low damage, low filtration loss and strong sand carrying capacity compared with the traditional fracturing fluid. The pilot test of the nitrogen foam fracturing fluid system was carried out in this block, and compared with the conventional guanidine gum fracturing fluid construction wells in the same block, it has obvious advantages in terms of construction pressure, liquid efficiency, sand suspension capacity, and flowback rate. The gas time is significantly shortened, and the daily gas production is significantly increased, indicating that the new nitrogen foam fracturing fluid system has achieved good fracturing results. Exploring the Equality of Urban Community Greening: A Case Study of Guangzhou, China

Abstract: This study focused on the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect especially in Guangzhou, China. The UHI effect happens when urban areas trap more heat than their natural counterparts. Through field air temperature measurements of multiple areas with high and low tree canopy cover areas, this study strongly suggested the existence of the UHI effect in Guangzhou; it showed that areas with low tree canopy cover had a significant higher air temperature than areas with greater tree canopy cover. Another area of focus for this study is the correlation between greening rates in residential villages in Guangzhou, China, and apartment price per square meter. The study gathered numerous datapoints of residential villages Guangzhou and found that there was a moderate positive correlation. These factors warrant the necessary and timely incorporation of more greenspaces in the urban landscape. Read More

Residual Strength Analysis of Oil and Gas Pipelines with Different Corrosion Depths

Abstract: In this study, a finite element model has been created to evaluate the residual strength of oil and gas pipelines under varying degrees of corrosion. In pipelines affected by corrosion, the highest stress typically concentrates in the damaged area due to the detachment of material caused by corrosion, which weakens the pipeline's structural integrity. The maximum stress varies with different levels of defect depth; as the defect becomes more severe, the peak stress in the pipeline increases. If the defect depth remains below 6 mm, the pipeline's strength is sufficient to meet operational requirements and prevent failure. Read More

Inclusion and Trace Elements in Quartz LA-ICP-MS Analysis and Research

Abstract: This article conducts quartz inclusion and trace element testing and analysis on quartzite in a certain area of Henan Province, and preliminarily determines the occurrence state of impurity elements inside the quartzite. The main impurity elements are mainly associated minerals, inclusions, and lattice impurities that exist inside the quartz. By observing the mineral composition inside quartzite under a microscope, the type of impurity minerals can be preliminarily determined; In situ determination of the composition of gas-liquid inclusions inside quartz using a high-resolution confocal laser Raman spectroscopy imaging system; By using a laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, the trace element composition of quartz is determined to determine the content and occurrence state of impurity elements. A Review of Tourists' Dynamic Risk Perception Recognition: A Case Study of Eco-Environmental Health Factors

Abstract: Background: This paper proposes a dynamic risk perception identification framework for tourists, focusing on dynamic research on risk perception related to environmental health factors, which overcomes the shortcomings of traditional data collection methods such as questionnaires and interviews, such as high cost, small sample size and large sample deviation. In this review, we aim to :(1) identify studies on dynamic risk perception of tourists using environmental health factors as examples; (2) Identify potential threats to the validity of the survey results; (3) Make suggestions for future planning, design and implementation. Methods: A range of censorship was conducted by searching CNKI and Web of Science with the keyword "tourist risk" to find tourist risk studies published before December 31, 2022. Potential research content is updated through January 2023 through other sources. A narrative statement of the results is combined with a descriptive summary of the characteristics of the study. Results: On China National Knowledge Network. We found 128 visitor risk studies, and on the Web of Science, there were 4,426 articles, 4,554 in total. The scope of the study is very wide and complex. Conclusions: We found that the research direction of tourists' risk perception pays more attention to environmental health factors, but at the same time, the related research results of tourism risk are mainly concentrated in five aspects: tourism risk connotation, tourist risk, destination risk, stakeholder risk and tourism risk under the macro background. Tourists pay more attention to environmental problems and their impacts when choosing destinations. In recent years, tourists have paid more attention to environmental health factors, and it is necessary to better plan, implement and report mediation analysis. Read More
